Cheerful Minds is a play-based daycare with a preschool-like atmosphere in a home-like setting. Children will learn and grow through structured and unstructured play and stimulating programs, activities. We recognize that high-quality programs and services can have an extraordinary and long-lasting impact on children's development.

We are committed to creating a strong bond with your child, so they feel safe and happy, while introducing them to an exciting world of learning. The children are exposed to a wide variety of activities, from outdoor play to indoor exploration. This includes plenty of stories, music and movement, arts and crafts, drama and sensorial nature discovery. Our curriculum also incorporates theme circles along with an introduction to math, science, letter, shape and colour recognition for children.

 

As a certified ECE (Early Childhood Educator), the owner plans the daily programs based on children's interests and needs. We also incorporate Reggio Emilia and Montessori elements in our training. We are proud to offer the CALM Curriculum (Calm, Alert and Learning Modules - Early Years Training). Based on children's age and development, we will gradually introduce them to elements of this fantastic program and teach effective strategies for self-regulation and social - emotional learning.

Cheerful Minds Childcare Ltd. recognizes the importance of an active lifestyle and physical fitness. Our half-acre outdoor space has slides,  a sand box, play houses, water tables, ride-on toys, bicycles, vegetable gardens and lots of room to run around; the perfect combination to develop muscle strength and coordination, and gain self-confidence.

Our daily program

Children are able to learn, laugh and play while maintaining a structured day which provides a consistent and familiar routine, fostering the development of young minds and bodies. Based on children's needs there may be days when schedules change a bit.
